Could not determine GDB version after sending: arm-none-eabi-gdb –version, response:

After configuring the Kinetis Design Studio IDE to use JLinkGDB as Debugger I was getting this error message:

“Could not determine GDB version after sending: arm-none-eabi-gdb –version, response:”
